Technology Service Desk Manager

We’re looking for a talented Technology Service Desk Manager to join our busy team of Technology professionals standing up for young lives against cancer.

Today, 12 children and young people in the UK will hear the shocking news they have cancer. Young Lives vs Cancer is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families, providing them with clinical, practical, emotional and financial support. You can be a part of helping them to cope with cancer and get the most out of life.

Technology plays a vital role in ensuring our people have the systems and hardware they need to carry out their roles successfully, and we’ve got an ambitious strategy to introduce new and enhance existing services and technology ensuring we’re meeting the charity’s needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

As Technology Service Desk Manager, you’ll be motivated by delivering a great service for our people. A positive, confident leader, you’ll be comfortable engaging and coaching your team to achieve key performance indicators and service level agreements, whilst attaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You’ll work with staff across the charity, so great relationship-building skills are a must - as is a proactive approach to problem-solving, and strong emotional intelligence.  

Drawing on excellent analytical skills, you’ll be used to proactively reviewing information and spotting trends to drive improvements in everything we do - ensuring that the Technology Service Desk runs smoothly and stays relevant, supports our future technology plans, and promotes the technology vision.

This role can be based in either our Bristol or London office (in Hammersmith). Currently, in line with government guidance, the majority of our office-based roles are temporarily working from home. In the immediate term we will agree appropriate arrangements with the post-holder.
